General Carbody Interference
For all installations of the Coupler Mounted Bracket (CMB), care must be taken to ensure the CMB and the intermediate hose cannot come into contact with any carbody components.
Examples of possible carbody interference conditions are shown below. Area of possible interference is highlighted in red.
The following examples highlight possible CMB interference - the end sill tie strap (ex. 1), protruding plane interference (Ex. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6).
The following examples highlight possible CMB interference - protruding section on the carbody (ex. 1 and 2), the angle cock location (ex. 3).
The following examples highlight possible CMB interference – brake lever too close to end of draft sill (ex. 1, 2, and 3), the brake lever location may impede intermediate hose travel (ex. 4, 5, 6 and 7).
The following examples highlight possible CMB interference – the coupler carrier (Ex. 1 and 2), the deep coupler carrier (Ex. 3, 4, 5, and 6).
The following examples highlight possible CMB interference - straight striker bar (ex. 1, 2 and 3).
